Excellent Act of Bravery by Terrier Security Guard

On 08 Oct 2011, at around 0120 hrs three unknown miscreants attacked Educomp Solutions Limited (Guest House), Gurgaon at which Terrier provides its security services. The suspects armed with pistol and other lethal weapons attacked. Taj Mohamad Khan (Emp # T – 287) who joined Terrier on 26 Sep 2011was on night shift day.

The Suspects surrounded Khan from all sides and demanded to hand over the Guest house keys to them. Using his presence of mind he immediately replied saying the keys are not with him and are with the Pantry Boy who is out of office. The suspects pushed him out of the security post and took him to lawn, At gun-point one of the suspect offered Khan 25lakhs in compensation if he agrees to be a part of their team.

Khan asked one of the suspects that he wants go to the wash room which he was denied the permission for. Khan immediately stood up and snatched the pistol from the suspect and held it firmly with his two hands aiming it towards the suspect.  He then alerted the neighborhood by screaming “Chor Chor….”  The S/Gds & nearby occupants started rushing to the location of incident. Seeing this the suspects flee from the place without causing any harm or damage to human and property.

Khan then intimated the Branch Manager Capt Manjit Singh Rana who heads Gurgaon Branch & Ops team. The team reached the spot within no time. Meanwhile Mr Khan who had suffered minor injuries during the scuffle was rushed to the hospital for first aid. The branch head narrated the incident to Educomp Vice President Mr Vikram Puri and local police who praised Khan for risking his life  to save Client’s property with his presence of mind and quick action.

Needless to say that S/Gd Taj Mohamad Khan having just two weeks of experience with Terrier has shown his integrity and consciousness towards his duty. The management has announced a cash reward for him along with a certificate for his act of bravery.
